On Friday, March 13, AJ Forte—a former Peabody Veterans Memorial High School standout—saw his current team, the Endicott Gulls, drop 77-83 against the Illinois Wesleyan Titans in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.
The matchup, which tipped off at 6:30 p.m., was played at Shirk Center and marked the first tournament meeting between the Gulls and the Illinois Wesleyan Titans.
The Merrimack Warriors baseball team lost narrowly to UMass Lowell with a final score of 10-8. Several players contributed multiple hits as Merrimack rallied late but could not secure victory. The Warriors now prepare for an upcoming home series against Marist.
