The Bentley Falcons, featuring former St. Mary’s Lynn High School star Niya Morgen, suffered a 58-55 defeat to the Daemen Wildcats in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.
The contest, which marked the first tournament meeting between the teams, tipped off at 5 p.m. at James Moore Field House.
Merrimack baseball scored three runs in the first inning but lost narrowly to Dartmouth. The team will now travel for a conference series against Mount St. Mary’s.
Jack Salva has been named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team after a strong first season at Merrimack. The freshman attack also received weekly conference honors and helped lead his team into postseason play.
These former North Boston area high school athletes will take part in events on Wednesday, April 29.
