Black Earth Composting announced on Apr. 6 a 20 percent sign-on discount for new customers in Lynnfield, in recognition of Earth Day 2026. The offer is available to residents who sign up for curbside compost collection service.

The promotion aims to encourage more households in Lynnfield to participate in composting and reduce waste. Black Earth Composting provides weekly curbside collection every Thursday for its customers.

To receive the discount, interested residents are directed to visit blackearthcompost.com and use the code EARTHDAY2026 when signing up. The company said the promotion will be valid through May 8.

The initiative comes as communities look for ways to support sustainability efforts during Earth Day celebrations. By offering discounted services, Black Earth Composting seeks to make it easier for residents to adopt environmentally friendly practices at home.

Looking ahead, local officials and environmental groups may observe whether increased participation leads to greater diversion of organic waste from landfills.
