Five members of the Merrimack College women’s golf team were named to the conference’s all-academic team, according to an announcement on April 24.

The recognition highlights student-athletes who excel in both academics and athletics. To qualify for the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) All-Academic Team, student-athletes must have completed two semesters at their institution and maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale.

The Merrimack honorees are Olivia Cutting, June Doerr, Jillian Johnson, Mya Murphy, and Yasmine Qureshi. Cutting and Johnson are sophomores majoring in Sports Management and Communication; Doerr is a sophomore majoring in Management; Murphy is a sophomore studying Political Science and Management; Qureshi is a senior majoring in Civil Engineering.

This selection reflects the team’s commitment to balancing academic achievement with athletic participation. The inclusion of five athletes from Merrimack underscores the college’s focus on supporting student success both on the course and in the classroom.

Looking ahead, these recognitions may inspire continued academic performance among student-athletes as they pursue their studies alongside their sports careers.
