Hobart falls 5-1 to Tufts in Division III baseball; Amesbury alum Kimball pitches 3 innings

On Saturday, March 7 at 3 p.m., the Hobart Statesmen, featuring former Amesbury High School standout Trevor Kimball, were defeated 5-1 by the Tufts Jumbos in NCAA Division III baseball.

The matchup was held at Sol Gittleman Park and marked the second meeting with the Jumbos this season. In the earlier contest on Saturday, March 7, the Statesmen lost 2-1.

Kimball pitched three innings, giving up two earned runs while recording three walks and striking out two batters.

The Statesmen will play their next game against the Tufts Jumbos at 12 p.m. on Sunday, March 8, again at Sol Gittleman Park.
