Of the 6,083 students who took part in the MCAS, 84% did not meet the testing standard in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

These students did not meet the required standards of the Math portion of the MCAS, compared to the 16% who did.

The results of the spring 2022 MCAS examinations were mixed, with declines in ELA scores and gains in Math and Science scores since 2021. Overall results indicate a need for improvement as compared to pre-pandemic levels.
