Merrimack College freshman forward Justin Gill has been named Hockey East Co-Rookie of the Week, marking the first time he has received this honor. The announcement was made by the league office on Monday.
Gill has recently demonstrated strong performance, scoring a goal in each of his last six games and earning at least one point in his past 11 games. During this streak, he has collected 16 points, with eight goals and eight assists. His current 11-game point streak is the second longest in the country.
Gill leads Merrimack in both goals and total points this season, with 13 goals—ranking seventh in the conference—and 28 points, which places him sixth among all players in Hockey East.
The Merrimack Warriors will play their final regular season road games against the Maine Black Bears on Friday and Saturday night.
