Merrimack College freshman forward Justin Gill has been named Hockey East Rookie of the Month for February, according to an announcement from the league office on Monday.

Gill recorded eight points in seven games during February. He also maintained a streak of 13 consecutive games with at least one point and scored at least one goal in each of the last seven games. Gill currently leads his team in goals with 14 and is tied for second in assists with 16.

The Merrimack Warriors will play their final regular season game against UMass Lowell Riverhawks tomorrow at Lawler Arena.
