Kevair Kennedy earns dual MAAC honors after standout performances for Merrimack

Kevair Kennedy, a freshman guard for the Merrimack men’s basketball team, has received both the Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) after two strong performances. This is Kennedy’s first time being named Player of the Week and his fifth Rookie of the Week award this season. It is also the first week he has earned both titles simultaneously.

Kennedy scored 22 points, shooting 6-for-12 from the field, in an 81-56 win over Marist on Thursday. He then followed with a 24-point performance, going 6-for-15, during a 56-49 victory against Quinnipiac on Sunday.

Kennedy and his teammates are currently on a six-game winning streak. The Warriors will next play Siena at Lawler Arena on Friday at 8 p.m. ET.
