The Merrimack men’s lacrosse team faced the Utah Utes in a non-conference game at Duane Stadium on Saturday, ending with a 17-8 loss. Despite trailing 13-5 at halftime, Merrimack showed resilience in the second half but could not overcome the deficit.

Colin Kruger led the Warriors with a hat trick. The teams exchanged goals after halftime, but Utah maintained its lead throughout the match.

Utah’s Ryan Stines stood out with six goals and three assists, helping his team capitalize on transition opportunities. In goal for Merrimack, Jesse Dalanzo made seven saves and Jaden Malfano added six more, combining for a total of 13 stops.

The Warriors now hold a record of 1-3 and will play their next game against Dartmouth on Tuesday.
