Merrimack junior attack Lindsay Atkinson was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week on Mar. 17.
The recognition highlights Atkinson’s performance over a two-game stretch, during which she scored 10 goals and provided two assists. Her efforts contributed to Merrimack’s three-game winning streak, including recent victories against Radford and Presbyterian.
Atkinson has now received this honor for the second time in the season. She is currently tied for first on the team in points, with a total of 29 that includes 19 goals and 10 assists.
The Warriors hold a record of three wins and five losses so far this season. The team will continue their campaign on Wednesday when they travel to face the University of New Hampshire.
Atkinson’s continued strong play is expected to be important as Merrimack looks to build on its current momentum.
