Lynnfield volunteers joined with those from Middleton on April 14 to clean up trash along the North Main Street corridor in preparation for Earth Day, which falls on April 22 this year.

The cleanup comes as part of local efforts to mark Earth Day and maintain community spaces. With snow recently melted and vegetation not yet fully grown, organizers said it was an ideal time for the project.

The North Main Street corridor serves as a main entrance to several communities, including Lynnfield, Peabody, North Reading, and Middleton. The area features new developments and updated streetscapes that benefit from regular maintenance.

Volunteers worked together to remove litter from the heavily traveled roadway. Organizers highlighted that such activities help improve both the appearance of public spaces and environmental quality in advance of annual celebrations like Earth Day.

Local residents Amy MacNulty and Kendall Inglese were among those participating in the cleanup at the Lynnfield Woodlot parking area. Their involvement reflects ongoing community engagement leading up to Earth Day.
