The Town of Lynnfield announced on April 1 that the Public Works Recycling Drop Off facility is now open and will remain available to residents through early December. The site, located at 55R Summer Street behind the Town Hall Complex, operates on Mondays (excluding holidays), Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

This opening provides a designated location for Lynnfield residents to dispose of recyclable materials responsibly. The facility aims to support local recycling efforts by offering a convenient drop-off point for accepted items.

Residents with approved permit stickers from the Department of Public Works office are eligible to use the service. Items accepted at the site include brush, leaves, yard clippings, flattened cardboard, textiles, books, and other miscellaneous recyclables in acceptable containers. The town has clarified that neither residential nor commercial trash will be accepted at this location. Commercial vehicles are also not permitted on site.

The recycling program reflects ongoing efforts by local authorities to encourage environmentally friendly waste management practices within the community. Residents are encouraged to check the calendar for specific operating dates and ensure they comply with all guidelines regarding permitted items and vehicle restrictions.

As the recycling drop off continues operations until early December, town officials remind residents that proper sorting and adherence to rules help maintain an efficient system.
