The Merrimack Warriors baseball team lost a high-scoring contest to Holy Cross, 15-13, on Apr. 1 in Lawrence, Massachusetts.
The game saw a total of 28 runs scored over three hours and 52 minutes. The matchup featured strong offensive performances from both teams.
Brooks Craigue led the Warriors with four hits, including two doubles and two singles, as well as a walk. He drove in three runs for the team. Chris Goode contributed both at the plate and in the field, making a jumping catch against the fence in the second inning and hitting his second home run of the season. Goode finished with three hits overall.
Jack Andrews added three hits and drove in two runs during the game. Greg Cristino recorded two hits—including a double down the right field line—and an RBI. Joey Frammartino also had two hits, an RBI, and was hit by his seventh pitch of the season.
Freshman catcher Garrett McGovern reached base twice with two hits while Christian Scanlon got on base four times through three walks and being hit by a pitch.
Looking ahead, Merrimack will host Fairfield University—the reigning Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference champions—later this week. Games are scheduled for Thursday and Friday at 1 p.m., with Saturday’s first pitch set for noon.
