The Merrimack baseball team lost to Maine 10-4 in a neutral site matchup at Northeastern’s Friedman Diamond on April 12.
This game was significant as it provided both teams with an opportunity to compete at a neutral venue, away from their home fields.
Brett McKinnon led the Warriors’ offense, going 2-for-3 with a walk and scoring two runs. He also contributed by stealing a base. Other notable performances for Merrimack included Matt Deshiro, Greg Cristino, and Garrett McGovern, each of whom recorded a hit and drove in a run. Brooks Craigue and Joe Frammartino also added hits for the team.
Despite these efforts, Merrimack was unable to overcome Maine’s offense during the contest.
Looking ahead, Merrimack is scheduled to play its next game against the University of Rhode Island on Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Kingston.
