The Merrimack College baseball team will play against Brown University in a non-conference matchup on April 8. The game is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 in Providence, Rhode Island.

This meeting follows a seven-game home stretch for the Warriors, during which they secured a win over reigning conference champions Fairfield. The team’s performance has been highlighted by several key players this season.

Outfielder Joey Frammartino leads the Warriors with a .366 batting average and a slugging percentage of 1.127. Frammartino has recorded four home runs and driven in 24 runs, also leading the team with an on-base percentage of .542.

Greg Cristino holds the team lead with five home runs and has driven in 28 runs while batting .309. He also has ten doubles so far this season. Brooks Craigue recently delivered a strong performance with four hits and five runs batted in during last week’s game against Holy Cross.

Freshman Garrett McGovern is contributing with a .338 batting average and 22 hits this season. Jayden Hamilton has knocked in 18 runs on his own, collecting 32 hits and leading the team with 112 plate appearances.

The upcoming contest provides both teams an opportunity to test their lineups outside of conference play as they continue through their spring schedules.
