Merrimack College baseball will play three games this weekend, facing Northeastern for two matchups and Maine for one, according to an April 9 announcement. The games are set to take place in Brookline, with the first against Northeastern scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m., the second on Saturday at noon, and a neutral site game against Maine on Sunday at noon.
The upcoming series follows a seven-game home stretch during which Merrimack defeated Fairfield, last season’s conference champions. The team’s performance in these games sets the stage for their upcoming contests.
Outfielder Joey Frammartino leads the Warriors with a .365 batting average and a slugging percentage of 1.117. He has hit four home runs and driven in 24 runs so far this season. Frammartino also leads the team in on-base percentage with .541.
Greg Cristino is currently Merrimack’s home run leader with five homers. He holds a .298 batting average and has tallied 28 runs batted in along with ten doubles this season. Brooks Craigue has also been performing well recently, including a four-hit game against Holy Cross last week where he drove in five runs.
Freshman Garrett McGovern has contributed with 22 hits and holds a .324 batting average, while Jayden Hamilton has recorded 18 RBIs from his total of 33 hits and leads the team with 114 plate appearances.
The Warriors aim to build on their recent successes as they continue their season against Northeastern and Maine.
