Merrimack College baseball clinched a series win against the Manhattan Jaspers with a 13-1 victory on March 29. The game took place in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and marked the second consecutive contest in which the Warriors scored 13 runs.
The win is significant for Merrimack as all nine starters recorded at least one hit for the second straight game, showing consistency throughout the lineup. Strong offensive and pitching performances contributed to the decisive result.
James Borsari pitched five scoreless innings, allowing only five hits. Samuel Franco finished out the last two innings and struck out three batters. Offensively, Brooks Craigue opened scoring with a solo home run before Christian Scanlon added a grand slam in the following inning. Joey Frammartino contributed further with a three-run home run in the fifth inning.
Craigue nearly completed a cycle during his performance, missing only a triple. Jayden Hamilton drove in two runs with a single during the fifth inning while Greg Cristino reached base three times through two singles and one walk. Jack DePalma, Chris Goode, and Samuel Sherman each collected two hits.
Looking ahead, Merrimack will host Holy Cross at Alumni Field on Tuesday with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
