The Merrimack College football team announced its schedule for the 2026 season on May 5. The Warriors will play a 12-game independent schedule, featuring five home games at Duane Stadium and seven first-time opponents.

The announcement is significant as it brings several regional rivals to campus and introduces Merrimack to new markets through away games in Texas, North Carolina, Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, and New Jersey. Two of the team’s new opponents reached the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Playoffs last season.

“I cannot wait to kick off the 2026 football schedule,” Merrimack athletic director Joe Foley said. “Our home games will bring all northeast regional rivals to pack the house at Duane Stadium. The energy and pageantry of tailgating and college football will be strong on campus at Merrimack this fall. In addition, I look forward to bringing the Merrimack brand on the road to new markets as we play games in Texas, North Carolina, Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire and New Jersey. I know our young men are working hard and ready for an exciting 2026 football season!”

The Warriors open their season at home against the University of Rhode Island on August 28. They then travel for three consecutive away games against Delaware (September 3), Maine (September 12), and Tarleton State (September 19). Homecoming weekend is set for September 26 when they host the University of New Haven.

In October, Merrimack plays Yale away before a bye week on October 10. After facing Dartmouth on October 17 away from home, they return for Parents and Family Weekend hosting the University of New Hampshire on October 24. Youth Day follows with a game against Wagner on October 31.

November includes an away game at Wake Forest (November 7) followed by Monmouth (November 14). The regular-season finale is Senior Day against Sacred Heart University at Duane Stadium on November 21.

Tickets are available online or by calling the Merrimack box office.
