Megan Miller, a freshman infielder for Merrimack College’s softball team, has been recognized as the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Rookie of the Week. The announcement follows her performance at the Towson Tournament over the weekend.

Miller, who is from New Egypt, New Jersey, recorded four hits in four games during the tournament. Her standout game came on March 1 against Cornell University, where she went two-for-three at bat and hit a two-run home run. She also drove in four of her five runs batted in (RBI) during that matchup.

The Merrimack Warriors will start their conference schedule this weekend with away games against Mount St. Mary’s in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The series includes two games on Saturday at noon and 2 p.m., followed by another game on Sunday at noon.
