Merrimack College announced on Apr. 11 that its men’s golf team will travel to Easton, Pennsylvania, to participate in the ABARTA Coca-Cola Invitational at Northampton County Club.
The tournament brings together several collegiate teams for a competitive event hosted by Lafayette. The field includes Le Moyne, Drexel, Iona, LaSalle, Niagara, Mount St. Mary’s, St. Bonaventure, Towson, Fordham, Colgate, Canisius, Hofstra, Laval University, Merrimack and Lehigh.
According to the announcement from Merrimack College Men’s Golf staff, the team’s lineup features Rafli Sati and Brendan Zinck starting at the fifth hole at 1:30 p.m., Saketh Hegde at the sixth hole also at 1:30 p.m., Sean Roddy and Nate Crowley beginning on the seventh hole at 1:30 p.m., and individual competitor Jimmy Schouller teeing off from the eighth hole at the same time.
The event offers an opportunity for Merrimack’s golfers to compete against a broad range of programs from across multiple conferences. The format of play assigns each golfer a specific starting hole as part of a shotgun start schedule.
This tournament marks another key outing for Merrimack as it continues its spring season schedule.
