Merrimack College men’s golf team will participate in the Columbia Spring Invitational in Springfield, Pennsylvania, on March 30. The event marks the team’s second tournament of the spring season.
The invitational will be held at Rolling Green Golf Club and features a field that includes Lafayette, Le Moyne, Drexel, Siena, Saint Joseph’s (PA), Columbia as hosts, Fordham, Saint Francis, Manhattan, Bryant, Penn, and Merrimack.
Merrimack’s lineup for the tournament consists of Rafli Sati starting at the fifth hole at 9 a.m., Brendan Zinck at the sixth hole also at 9 a.m., Sean Roddy and Saketh Hegde both beginning on the seventh hole at 9 a.m., and Nate Crowley starting from the eighth hole at the same time.
Participation in tournaments like this provides an opportunity for student-athletes to gain experience against regional competitors. It also allows teams to assess their progress during the spring season.
The invitational is expected to offer valuable competition for all participating schools as they continue their respective spring campaigns.
