The Merrimack College men’s lacrosse team defeated Manhattan with a score of 11-9 on April 3, thanks to a strong fourth period in which the Warriors scored four goals.
This win was led by Jack Salva, who recorded six points with four goals and two assists. Carmine Jaconi contributed two goals and two assists, while Rob Tyra added two more goals to the team’s effort.
At halftime, Merrimack held a narrow lead of 5-4 after scoring five times in the second period. The Warriors also outshot Manhattan by a margin of 37 to 30 during the game.
The victory improves Merrimack’s record as they prepare for their next matchup. The team will return home next Saturday for Alumni Day at Duane Stadium, with the game scheduled to begin at noon Eastern Time.
