The Merrimack men’s lacrosse team will seek its first win of the season when it visits Bryant on Saturday. The Warriors currently have an 0-2 record after a close defeat to Holy Cross in their home opener.
Finn Dougherty leads the team with four goals over two games, including a hat trick against Holy Cross. Casey Herod has contributed three goals and two assists, giving him a team-high five points so far this season.
Merrimack’s coaching staff, along with all NCAA men’s lacrosse coaches nationwide, will wear green lapel pins during the game to honor Liam Gleason. Gleason was the former coach of Siena’s men’s lacrosse program and died on December 3 at age 41. He is survived by his wife, Jaclyn, and three children.
“We are wearing these pins as a tribute to Coach Gleason and his contributions to the sport,” said Merrimack’s head coach.
