Merrimack men’s tennis edges Southern New Hampshire in close match

The Merrimack men’s tennis team secured a 4-3 victory over Southern New Hampshire on Wednesday in Hooksett, New Hampshire.

In singles play, Kabir Chhabria earned a win at No. 2 with scores of 3-6, 6-1, 6-3. Trey Pleasant came back to win at No. 4 singles with scores of 5-7, 6-0, 6-1. Juan Carlos Portilla Morales added another point for the Warriors by winning his match at No. 5 singles, finishing 4-6, 6-2, 6-0.

Merrimack also claimed the doubles point after Ludolph Wiggett and Chhabria won their match at No. 1 doubles with a score of 7-5. Björn Hedegaard-Friis and Portilla Morales took a decisive victory at No. 3 doubles, winning 6-0.

The team will compete next at the MAAC Masters from October 3 to October 5.
