The Merrimack men’s tennis team lost to Tufts by a score of 6-1 on March 7.
This result marks a setback for the Warriors as they continue their season. The match took place in Medford, Massachusetts, and featured several close contests.
Milan Zubovic secured Merrimack’s only point by defeating Nico Tremblay at No. 6 singles with scores of 1-6, 6-2, and 10-4. In doubles play, Trey Pleasant and Ludolph Wiggett narrowly lost at No. 1 doubles with a score of 6-4. Juan Carlos Portilla and Zubovic also fell short at No. 3 doubles, losing by the same margin.
The team will have a break before returning to competition on March 18 against Assumption at 3 p.m.
