Merrimack men’s tennis loses season opener to Dartmouth

The Merrimack men’s tennis team was defeated by Dartmouth with a score of 7-0 in their spring season opener on Saturday in North Andover, Massachusetts.

In doubles play, Mike Schut and Tom Van Nooten were defeated by Miles Groom and Henry Ren at the No. 1 spot, 6-2. At No. 2 doubles, Strahinja Djukic and Ludolph Wigget lost to Calvin Wang and Malhar Patel, 6-3.

Dartmouth also won all of the singles matches during the competition.

Merrimack is scheduled to return to action on Sunday with a match against Harvard at 4 p.m.
