Merrimack men’s track earns two podium spots at Riverhawk Invite

Merrimack College’s men’s track and field team competed in the second day of the Riverhawk Invite at the TRACK at New Balance in Boston on Saturday. The team earned two podium finishes during the event.

Gabriel Qureshi finished second in the 400-meter dash invite with a time of 47.62 seconds. He also placed ninth in the 200-meter dash invite, recording a time of 21.78 seconds.

Kyle Adams secured third place in the shot put open, achieving a throw of 13.49 meters.

The 4×400 relay team—composed of Samuel Charrette, Keith Townsend, Elizardo Melenciano, and Gabriel Qureshi—finished fourth with a combined time of 3:19.11.

Other results included Jude Ibarra finishing seventh in the weight throw open event with a mark of 13.70 meters, Hunter Schobel taking eighth place in the long jump open at 6.14 meters, and John Azpiri-Sudusky coming in eighth in the 400-meter dash open race with a time of 51.19 seconds.
