Merrimack men’s volleyball falls to Penn State; faces St. Thomas Aquinas next

Penn State defeated Merrimack Warriors men’s volleyball team in straight sets, 3-0, during their match at University Park, Pennsylvania. Dallas Birkenbeuel led the Warriors with 12 kills and three digs, marking his third consecutive game with double-digit kills.

Blake Taschner and Nathaniel Venegas each contributed three kills. Venegas also recorded two block assists. Jack Johnson was the team’s leader in blocks with a total of two, including four block assists. Nick Tidik added two block assists as well.

Kyle Standage topped the team in digs with eight, while Reece Lindstrom followed closely with six. Lindstrom also led the Warriors in assists, tallying 18 for the match.

The Merrimack Warriors will travel to Sparkill, New York for their next match against St. Thomas Aquinas. The game is scheduled for tomorrow at 1 p.m.
