The Merrimack Warriors men’s volleyball team lost to the Sacred Heart Pioneers, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon in Fairfield, Connecticut, according to a March 14 announcement.
The match saw Dallas Birkenbeuel lead the Warriors with 15 kills, marking his sixth consecutive game reaching double-digit kills. Despite his performance and four digs, the Warriors were unable to secure a set against the Pioneers.
Reece Lindstrom contributed a team-high 21 assists during the match. Max Tkachev added six kills and five digs, while Blaker Taschner recorded five kills and led the team with six digs. Libero Kyle Standage also tallied six digs for Merrimack.
Nick Tidik, who leads the team in blocks this season, increased his total by adding 1.5 more blocks during the contest.
The Warriors will return to action next Thursday at home when they face American International. The match against the Yellow Jackets is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
