Penn State enters the contest with a 10-4 record and is currently on a six-match winning streak. St. Thomas Aquinas, another team in the schedule, holds a 4-9 record after having their two-match win streak ended last weekend.

Merrimack comes into the week following a reverse sweep victory over LIU. The Warriors are led by sophomore hitter Dallas Birkenbeuel, who has recorded 148 kills and 70 digs so far this season. Transfer Max Tkachev follows closely with 123 kills and 59 digs.

Blake Taschner has contributed 102 assists this season, including 46 in the recent win against LIU. Reece Lindstrom leads Merrimack in assists with a total of 273.

Nick Tidik leads the Warriors in blocks with 23 and has also posted 54 kills. Kyle Standage, one of the national leaders in digs per set, surpassed the 100-dig mark over the past weekend. Alongside Tidik, four other Merrimack players have registered at least 15 blocks each.
