Merrimack men’s volleyball prepares for tri-match against Roberts Wesleyan and D’Youville

Merrimack College’s men’s volleyball team is set to compete in a tri-match in Rochester, New York, on Monday. The Warriors will face Roberts Wesleyan and D’Youville.

Dallas Birkenbeuel currently leads Merrimack with 94 kills this season, while Max Tkachev follows closely with 86. Tkachev played a key role in the team’s recent 3-0 victory over D’Youville, contributing 12 kills and five digs.

Reece Lindstrom surpassed the milestone of 200 assists for the season after recording 23 assists in Saturday’s match against D’Youville. Kyle Standage leads the team in digs with 69, trailed by Birkenbeuel at 45 and Blake Taschner at 43. Taschner has also reached 50 kills this season and is second on the team in assists with 28.

On defense, three players have accumulated more than ten blocks: Jack Johnson and Nathaniel Venegas each have twelve, while Lindstrom has eleven.

Roberts Wesleyan recently achieved a .500 record following a win over Lancaster Bible. In contrast, D’Youville fell to a record of one win and seven losses after their defeat by Merrimack last Saturday.
