The Merrimack College men’s volleyball team will face American International College on Tuesday, March 30, at 7 p.m. The Warriors are entering the match following their third consecutive victory, marking their longest winning streak of the season.
The recent run includes a reverse sweep win over Dominican University last Friday. In that match, Max Tkachev recorded a season-high 22 kills and Dallas Birkenbeuel achieved an 18 kill, 14 dig double-double.
Birkenbeuel currently leads the team in kills and reached his 250th kill during the team’s latest win. Tkachev has accumulated 183 kills so far this season. Blake Taschner surpassed triple digits in three statistical categories: he now has 104 kills, 109 assists, and 128 digs after performances over the weekend.
Reece Lindstrom contributed significantly with a 50-assist match against Dominican University and reached his milestone of 500 assists for the season. Kyle Standage continues to lead Merrimack in digs with a total of 182.
On defense, Nick Tidik is nearing the half-century mark in blocks after reaching his forty-sixth block last week. Jack Johnson is close behind with forty blocks this season.
The upcoming game presents an opportunity for Merrimack to extend its winning streak as players continue to achieve individual milestones.
