Merrimack men’s volleyball sweeps AIC in three-set match

The Merrimack men’s volleyball team defeated American International College in a three-set sweep on March 31. The match took place in Springfield, Massachusetts.

This win continues Merrimack’s strong performance this season and adds momentum as the team prepares for upcoming matches.

Max Tkachev led the Warriors with ten kills and eight digs. Dallas Birkenbeuel and Nick Tidik each contributed seven kills during the match. Freshman Colt Fuller achieved a career high of five kills, while Kyle Wagner matched Tkachev with eight digs. Reece Lindstrom played a key role by recording 28 assists and two solo blocks.

The Warriors will travel to Newark for their next game against nationally-ranked NJIT on Friday, with first serve scheduled for 4 p.m.

The team’s recent success sets up an important test as they face a highly ranked opponent in their next outing.
