Merrimack softball continues in UNLV Rebel Classic with games against hosts and Utah Valley

Merrimack College’s softball team continued its participation in the UNLV Rebel Classic on Saturday, facing both the host team and Utah Valley University.

During the first game, Sam Russalesi led the Warriors with two hits. Alex Miller, Madison Metcalf, and Anna Mitrou each contributed one hit. Russalesi also achieved the team’s first stolen base of the season.

In the second game, Sydney Samuel recorded Merrimack’s only hit. Sam Ryan made her debut for Merrimack by pitching 1 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and registering one strikeout.

The Warriors are scheduled to finish their tournament play on Sunday with games against Idaho State and UNLV at 3:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Eastern Time. Both games will be available to watch for free on the UNLV YouTube channel.
