The Merrimack softball team lost both games in its home-opening double-header against Maine at Warrior Stadium on March 11.

The results mark a challenging start for Merrimack as the team dropped the first game 8-0, followed by a 6-2 defeat in the afternoon matchup. The games were played at Warrior Stadium in North Andover, Massachusetts.

During the second game, Caity Lemay went one-for-three and scored a run, helping Merrimack reduce Maine’s lead to 4-2 in the fourth inning. However, Maine added two more runs in the seventh inning to secure their victory.

These losses set an early tone for Merrimack’s season as they look to regroup and improve in upcoming games. The team’s performance highlighted areas for growth as they continue their schedule.
