Merrimack College’s softball team will begin its conference schedule tomorrow with a doubleheader against Mount St. Mary’s in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. The games are set for 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., following changes to the original schedule due to weather conditions.
Jamie Calkins enters the weekend with a six-game hitting streak. She currently holds a .333 batting average and a .906 OPS.
Caity Lemay also has eight hits this season, matching Calkins for the team lead. All of Lemay’s hits came during last weekend’s games, where she recorded six RBIs, including four from a grand slam.
Megan Miller was named MAAC Rookie of the Week after collecting four hits over four games last weekend. Her performance included a two-run home run against Cornell and four of her five total RBIs for the season.
