The Merrimack College softball team began its ten-game road trip on April 3 with a doubleheader against Sacred Heart, resulting in two losses by scores of 6-0 and 6-2.

The games marked the start of an extended away series for the Warriors. The results set the tone for their upcoming matches as they continue their road schedule.

In the first game, Madeline Arvai and Samantha Sosnovich each recorded hits, while MacKenzie Paulin and Sam Ryan took turns pitching. In game two, Arvai gave Merrimack an early lead by hitting her third home run of the season in the first inning, bringing in Sam Russalesi. Russalesi also contributed a hit alongside Sam Ryan and Caity Lemay. Fairfield resident Anna Gedacht started on the mound in game two and struck out three batters.

The Warriors are scheduled to conclude their three-game series against Sacred Heart on Saturday at noon.
