Merrimack Warriors’ winning streak ends with loss to Canisius

Kevair Kennedy led the Merrimack Warriors with 25 points, but the team was unable to secure its ninth consecutive win after falling to Canisius in Buffalo, New York.

Kennedy’s performance included shooting 8-for-9 from the field. He also contributed six rebounds and two assists.

Ernest Shelton and Tye Dorset each added 11 points for Merrimack. Dorset recorded a career-high five steals, while Shelton played the entire game and made two assists.

Todd Brogna scored 10 points, including two three-pointers, and collected eight rebounds. Andres Marrero contributed five points and six rebounds.

The Warriors will conclude their regular season on Sunday when they travel to face Niagara’s Purple Eagles at 2 p.m.
