The Merrimack College women’s basketball team has received several honors following its 2025-26 regular season performance. The team finished third in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC), trailing only Quinnipiac and nationally ranked Fairfield after achieving 18 wins.
Junior forward Madison Roman was selected as a unanimous First Team All-MAAC honoree. Roman recorded 17 double-doubles over 29 games and was one of three players to receive unanimous selection, joining Player of the Year Kaety L’Amoreaux from Fairfield. Roman led the conference in both total rebounds and rebounding average, while ranking seventh in points per game with averages of 13.5 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per contest.

Senior Lydia Melaschenko set a program record for most three-pointers made in a single season and earned Third Team All-MAAC honors. Among players who appeared in at least ten games for Merrimack this year, Melaschenko had the second-highest scoring average.
Merrimack will enter the postseason as the third seed in the MAAC Women’s Basketball Championships held in Atlantic City. The Warriors are scheduled to play No. 6 seed Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
