Merrimack women’s golf to compete at St. Andrews tournament in New York

Merrimack women’s golf will travel to Hudson, New York, for a tournament at the St. Andrews Golf Club beginning April 6.

The event features a field of twelve teams and offers Merrimack players an opportunity to compete against regional opponents on a renowned course.

According to the team announcement, the participating schools include Fairfield, Siena, Bryant, Wagner, Long Island University, Quinnipiac, Mount St. Mary’s, Hofstra, St. John’s (the host), Holy Cross and Providence along with Merrimack.

Tee times for Merrimack’s golfers are set for 11 am on different holes: June Doerr will start from the 10th hole; Mya Murphy from the 11th; Yasmine Qureshi from the 12th; Olivia Williams from the 13th; and Erika Redmond from the 14th.

The tournament runs over two days and is expected to provide valuable experience for all competitors as they face off at one of New York’s notable courses.
