Merrimack College women’s golf team will begin a three-round championship event in Orlando, Florida on April 20. The tournament is set to take place at Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course and will feature participants from the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
The event brings together teams from several colleges, including Fairfield, Niagara, Merrimack, Siena, Albany, Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac, Mount St. Mary’s, Iona and Manhattan. The competition offers an opportunity for the Merrimack team to measure itself against other programs in the conference.
According to information released by Merrimack College, the team’s lineup includes June Doerr teeing off at 10:06 am; Olivia Williams at 9:57 am; Yasmine Qureshi at 9:48 am; Erika Redmond at 9:39 am; and Mya Murphy starting at 9:30 am.
The championship format consists of three rounds played over consecutive days. Each round is scheduled with specific tee times for each athlete representing their respective schools.
This tournament marks an important point in the season for all participating teams as they vie for conference honors and potential advancement opportunities.
