The Merrimack women’s lacrosse team lost to Niagara, 17-7, in a conference game on April 8. Hailey Schnider led Merrimack with four goals from five shots, but the Purple Eagles secured the win.
This result is important for both teams as they move through their conference schedules. For Merrimack, it marks a setback ahead of their final home game of the regular season.
Alongside Schnider’s performance, Lindsay Atkinson, Brooke Eggleston, and Mia Estelle each scored one goal for Merrimack. Atkinson and Estelle also recorded an assist apiece. On defense, Meagann Jones caused six turnovers and collected five ground balls. Mia Juvelier contributed with a team-high five draw controls.
The Warriors will return to play on Saturday for their last home game before postseason play begins. The program plans to honor its graduating class of 2026 during pregame ceremonies.
Looking ahead, the team hopes to regroup and finish strong as they close out the regular season.
