Merrimack women’s basketball advances to MAAC semifinals after defeating Mount St. Mary’s

Madison Roman led the Merrimack Warriors women’s basketball team to a 62-48 victory over Mount St. Mary’s in the MAAC quarterfinals in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Roman scored 22 points and secured 18 rebounds, making her the top rebounder for the team. She shot 8-for-15 from the field.

Molly Manion contributed 17 points during her 29 minutes on the court, hitting seven of nine shots and converting all three of her attempts from three-point range.

Paloma Garcia and Se’lah Reddick both added six points each to the win. Reddick finished with eight rebounds, while Garcia had seven rebounds, a team-high eight assists, and four steals.

Following this win, Merrimack will advance to face Fairfield, ranked #25 nationally. The game is scheduled for tomorrow at Boardwalk Hall at 2:30 p.m.
