Merrimack women’s basketball falls to Manhattan despite strong performances

Madison Roman and Oralye Kiefer led the Merrimack women’s basketball team in scoring during their game against Manhattan, but the Warriors were defeated 82-67 on Saturday in Riverdale, New York.

Roman recorded 17 points and 10 rebounds, achieving her 17th consecutive game with double-digit points. Kiefer also scored 17 points, shooting 58 percent from the field, while contributing five rebounds and one block.

Paloma Garcia added 12 points along with six rebounds and six assists. Se’Lah Reddick contributed nine points and had a team-high three steals.

The Warriors now have a record of 16-11 overall and are 13-5 in the MAAC conference. The team will finish its regular season at home with games against Canisius on Thursday and Niagara on Saturday.
