The Merrimack Warriors women’s golf team finished in 12th place out of 14 teams at the Ozarks National Invitational, held in Hollister, Missouri, on March 25.
The tournament results highlight the competitive field faced by the Warriors as they competed against several strong programs. Missouri State claimed first place with a total score of +40, followed by South Dakota State at +48 and Texas El Paso at +50. Merrimack concluded the event with a team score of +109.
June Doerr led Merrimack individually, finishing in 33rd place with a total score of +22 over three rounds (+4 in round one, +9 in round two, and +9 in round three). Other contributors included Mya Murphy (+29), Yasmine Qureshi (+30), Olivia Williams (+31), and Erika Redmond (+34).
The Warriors are scheduled to return to competition on April 7 for a two-day tournament at St. Andrews Golf Club in New York.
The team’s performance at this invitational provides experience as they prepare for upcoming events this season.
