The Merrimack women’s lacrosse team will look to continue its recent success when it faces the University of New Hampshire on Wednesday afternoon, according to a March 17 announcement.
Both teams enter the matchup with identical records of three wins and five losses. The Warriors have built momentum with three consecutive victories, including two recent road wins against Radford and Presbyterian. In each of these wins, Merrimack has scored at least 16 goals.
Key contributors for Merrimack include Lindsay Atkinson, who was named MAAC Offensive Player of the Week, Hailey Schnider, and Sophia Ingenito. Atkinson has recorded 19 goals and 10 assists this season, while Schnider leads the team in goals with 21 and has added eight assists. Ingenito has contributed a team-high 12 assists.
The Wildcats also hold a record of three wins and five losses as they prepare to host the Warriors.
As both teams seek to improve their standings, Merrimack will rely on its strong offensive performance in hopes of extending its winning streak.
