The Merrimack women’s lacrosse team lost to Sacred Heart by a score of 10-6 on March 29 in Fairfield, Connecticut.

This result marks a setback for the Warriors as they continue their season. The game was closely contested through the first half, with both teams tied at four goals each at halftime.

Lindsay Atkinson played a key role for Merrimack, contributing to all six of the team’s goals with two goals and four assists. Brooke Brennan also scored twice for the Warriors. In the third period, Sacred Heart gained momentum by scoring three unanswered goals, which ultimately led them to victory.

The loss highlights areas where Merrimack will look to improve as they move forward in their schedule. The team will aim to regroup and prepare for upcoming games in hopes of returning to winning form.
