Merrimack women’s lacrosse loses 16-5 to UMass-Lowell

The Merrimack women’s lacrosse team was defeated by UMass-Lowell with a final score of 16-5 at Cushing Field on Wednesday night. Kaitlin Roche and Sarah Weigand each recorded two goals for the Warriors, while Sophia Ingenito added a goal and an assist.

Merrimack trailed 9-3 at halftime and was unable to close the gap in the second half. The loss brings the team’s record to 0-2 for the season.

The Warriors will play their next game on Saturday when they travel to Lafayette College.
