Merrimack women’s track and field records strong performances at Harvard and BU meets

Merrimack College’s women’s track and field team participated in two competitions over the weekend, taking part in the Harvard Invitational and the John Thomas Terrier Classic.

At the Harvard Invitational, Bella Hayes secured a top-five finish in the shot put event with a throw of 12.22 meters. The relay team consisting of Rebecca Russalesi, Isabella Tomic, Lillian Warner, and Riley Paskow placed fifth in the 4×440 yard relay with a time of 3:58.96. Katie Sills finished sixth in the pole vault open by clearing a height of 3.40 meters.

During the John Thomas Terrier Classic, Maci Chapman achieved a personal record in the 5000 meter run with a time of 17:50.44. Mariana Collins also set a personal best in the mile run, finishing at 5:00.02.
